NEHAWU KZN Signs A wage Agreement With Msinsi Holdings (SOC) LTD

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] in KwaZulu-Natal has reached and signed a wage negotiation agreement with Msinsi Holdings (SOC) Ltd. The union in the province has been engaged in wage negotiations for the 2021/22 financial year with the company.

After marathon negotiations, we were able to win the following victories for our members and workers:

Salary increases

Parties agreed to a 5.5% increment for all employees in the bargaining unit that is Grades P09 – P16, which shall be backdated to the 01st July 2021.

Medical Aid Contribution

Parties agreed that the previous year’s medical aid agreement for three years still stands and further agreed that the company shall subsidize a maximum of three (3) dependants excluding the main member per employee on the medical aid.

Uniform Allowance

Parties agreed that the uniform allowance will remain the same as in the previous agreement for 2021/2022, which is as follows:

• Rangers(Corporal, Senior, Field & Ranger) = R 1 500
• Office/Gate Employees = R 1 265
• Other Employees = R 1 250

Night Shift Allowance

Parties agreed that the night shift allowance remain the same for 2021/2021.

Lastly, as NEHAWU in the province we will continue fighting for improved working conditions for all our members and workers.
