NEHAWU To Brief Media Tomorrow on State Of Readiness And Details Of The National Day Of Action In North West

Monday May 14, 2018

The National Education, Health and Allied Workers’ Union [NEHAWU] will convene a press conference tomorrow, 15th May 2018, to outline plans, state of readiness and details of the National Day of Action against the Department of Health, Department of Social Development and the North West Provincial Government that will take place in Mafikeng on Wednesday [16th May 2018].

The national union has been mobilising its members in six Provinces to join the National Day of Action which will be in a form of a march after our strike action failed to yield the desired results due to the intransigence and sheer arrogance of the employer. The aim of the day of action is to highlight our anger in relation to non-resolution of our demands as submitted to the provincial government on the 20th March 2018.

Details of the press conference Date: Tuesday May 15, 2018
Time: 14h30
Venue: Protea Hotel Parktonian, Braamfontein, Johannesburg

Members of the media are encouraged to attend and to cover the press conference. Please confirm attendance with NEHAWU Media Liaison Officer Cde Khaya Xaba at 082 455 2500 or visit NEHAWU website at
